I recently learned of San Diego Memorial Society. I joined ahead of a need because a) I know it will come, and b) the idea of a non-profit helping people navigate the inevitable appealed to me. Check out their website and see how it truly puts the consumer ahead of consumption.

I am a member of this Society, which helps people with affordable end of life arrangements. The Administrator of the program and the volunteer board are knowledgeable and caring advocates. There is much helpful information on its website.
